Arita Ware, also known as Imari porcelain are made in Arita, Saga Prefecture at the Kyushu Region.
It has a smooth texture with a white porcelain surface and vivid coloured painting.
When Arita ware were widely used in the Edo era (18-19th centuries), Koimari has since become one of the most widely used style. "Ko" means old in Japanese where Ko-Imari Essentially means traditional Imari style.
Koimari is always delicate but consists of bold drawings as an accent that it is timeless. The landscape of Nihon Teien is the most popular style of painting which consists of a tree, flower and lawn.
