One of the reasons why Japanese art is so popular is because of its cultural incorporation. Tokusa (十草) is an example of a popular Japanese pattern used in alot of modern designs. Radiating from the centre, the pattern is inspired by the reed of "Ten Grass" - a grass grown in Japan. Since the Edo period, it has been one of the most used and loved patterns of various variations with Japanese ceramics.
